A Spanish holiday in Huelva
The first thing that will pop into your eyes when entering Huelva is its modern, cosmopolite port and the impressive industrial areas spread along it. Indeed, Huelva lives a decent life with the help of this industry and the help of the mines located very close to the city, but these are definitely not the only things you’ll find here; the close location to the picturesque Costa de Luz offers tourists a long list of attractions that as a Spanish tourist you are not allowed to miss! In addition to all these, nature lovers will be happy to learn that the beautiful and famous Donana National Park is very easy to reach from Huelva, while the ‘’Odiel Marshes’’, an important wetland reserve perfect for bird watching is also very close. Those who prefer the mountain in the detriment of the wetlands have great options: the Picos de Aroche and the picturesque Sierra de Aracena mountain ranges; if you want to go hiking, trekking or just on relaxing walks that offer you the possibility to enjoy the breathtaking views, choose these mountain ranges, as they are perfect!
Other attractions
The nearby Jabugo village is a place where the old customs and traditions of the country survived the passing of centuries, so allocate some of your free time to visiting it. The village is famous for the delicious Iberian cured ham that can be tasted here. If you want to see the famous ‘’Marvelous Caves’’, go to the charming town of Aracena; the caves host stalactites, stalagmites and even a lake, so they are worth your attention. One of the oldest prehistoric findings on the continent is also possible to visit.
Close to Huelva; it is a 5000 years old city, with dolmens, silos, tombs and a few hundred houses. The Huelva Museum is for those who want to learn more about the history of all the civilizations who ruled the area at one time or another in the past, while the La Rabida Monastery is for those who are religious. However, there is nothing longer than the sightseeing list. Start your tour with the San Pedro Church, built in the 15th century in a Moorish style and continue it with La Merced Cathedral. Your location lloret de mar tour should also contain the Las Monjas Square and the Reina Victoria district. As you can see, Huelva is the perfect destination for all types of tourists, regardless of their preferences, so consider it for one of your future holidays!
